Indian River High School
Enviro-Act Club
The Environmental Club is comprised of students who are working to protect and restore the world in which we live and in particular our watershed. We do this through our partnership with the Center for the Inland Bays, DNREC, Delaware State Parks, and several other environmental groups. Projects we participate are year round and include: coastal cleanups, dune grass plantings, inland bay cleanups, horseshoe crab survey, inland bay fish survey, ink cartridge recycling, shoe recycling for a world-wide water project. Our most recent project involved a shoreline stabilization project at Lake Bethany where we planted native grasses to stop the eroding embankment.
