The National Honor Society is an organization that concentrates on four traits with all its members. Those traits include Character, Service, Leadership, and Scholarship. At the beginning of a student’s junior year, students are invited to apply for membership into the James M. Clayton chapter of the NHS. Students need a weighted average of at least 97% to be invited. Students who apply are then rated by faculty, and must show examples of their service and leadership to join this exclusive organization..
